This textile design is to celebrate a town, Clarkston, Michigan. Sometimes driving through a community there are things that bring joy. I decided to document them. A few that are especially joyful to me…

The yellow door; bright colors on doors let alone buildings seem rare in this region. So seeing it has a wow-ness. 

The planters; continually updated according to season or holiday. The seasonal decorations make the street pop and are something to look forward to. 

It's easy to be too busy to observe, it was nice to slow down, view, and eventually just be.

The fabric was made into tea towels and coasters.
